Vietnamese Legislators Review Implementation of Ordinance on Disabled Persons

Last January, VNAH supported the Committee on Social Affairs of the National Assembly to organize a national conference to review the seven-year implementation of the Ordinance on Disabled Persons. More than 120 people from local and central government agencies, organizations for people with disabilities and the media participated in the two-day conference. Chaired by Mr. Truong Quang Duoc, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly, the conference generated a strong momentum for both the government and the National Assembly to begin work to upgrade the current ordinance to a new, more comprehensive disability law.
